Safe Snacks During Testing
I want to take a moment to remind you that we have several students at Pin Oak (in every grade level) that have severe allergies to nuts.  I ask that if you are providing a snack for your child, or are working with a teacher to provide snacks for other children, that you avoid snacks that contain nuts or are processed in the same manufacturing facility as products containing nuts.  Are you interested in learning more about keeping our school a safe place for all our students?  Check out this Safe Snack Guide! http://snacksafely.com/safe-snack-guide/

Keeping Your Kids Safe Online
Monday, March 7, 6:30 p.m.
Learn actual and potential on-line threats along with tricks and tools predators use to lure even the savviest child.  Hear about the consequences of cyberbullying and revealing too much.   Leave with tips on prevention and how to avoid victimization.  Real Houston area stories and cases used.

This is a parent only event provided by Crimestoppers.  Students will be participating in a similar presentation, designed specifically for their age group in the coming weeks.

Big Thanks!
Friday evening was such a wonderful time for our community to come together. Pulling together an event like the auction takes incredible leadership and the support of many dedicated volunteers. A big thanks to our auction chairs, Cara Michael and Jenny Hanks, and the many volunteers who helped with donations, planning, set up and clean up.

Pin Oak Idol
Students interested in participating in Pin Oak Idol should be working on their performance now! Students should review the paperwork, available in the main office, school store, or PTO website. Auditions will be held April 6 & 7, and all acts should be performance-ready.
