Will Your Child Participate in Athletics During the 2017-18 School Year?
Many families schedule their annual well-child check-ups for the summer months. That is a great time to get the Athletic Participation form completed.  The physical is good for 12 months.  The new form is available from the Main Office or on our website.

Lunch Schedules for this Week
Students will report to lunch based on their class assignment for each day.  For example. on Monday Period 3 overlaps the lunch periods.  Students should look for their 3rd period teacher to determine which lunch they are assigned to attend.  On Tuesday they will use their 4th period class assignment to determine lunch assignment.  Wednesday the lunch period corresponds to 5th period and Thursday corresponds to 6th period.

Does My Child Have a Final Exam?
Any student taking a high school credit exam will be taking a final exam.  The final exam counts as 25% of the semester average, equally weighted to each of the three grading cycles within the semester.

If your child is not taking a high school credit course, he or she may have a test this week, and it may count as a major grade, but it is not a "final exam".  Please check the cluster blog for any information about tests that may be taking place this week.

Athletic Physicals
On Wednesday after school students will be able to get Athletic Physicals for just $15, cash only.  There is a new form for athletic participation for the 2017-18 school year.  All students will need the new paperwork to participate during the upcoming school year.

Athletic Physicals begin at 3:45 p.m. and will continue until every student is seen.

Yearbooks: Final Call
We have approximately 20 yearbooks still available for sale and about 700 students who haven't yet purchased one. If your child wants a copy please send them with exactly $45 cash (no change, no checks) to Ms. Beckman in room A109.

Uniform Orders
We are thrilled to announce that we are adding new spirit shirts and new jackets!  Please avoid the long lines in August and pre-order your uniforms.  You may stop by the school store or have your child stop in during lunch this week to check sizes.  Order online no later than JUNE 15, 2017.

School Supplies
We have worked closely with teachers and with our school supply vendor to make the pre-ordered kits a better value.  All kits are tailored to the specific grade level supply requests and are less than $60 each.  This is a great way to reduce stress at the beginning of the year.  Order online no later than JUNE 30, 2017.

Chick-fil-A Lunch Day
For those of you who have missed it, tomorrow we will be serving Chick-fil-A lunches that were pre-ordered last week.  This is all possible because of the vision of our student body leadership team of Tommy Lai and McHaley Ho, and with the help of many PTO volunteers. President Lai and Vice President Ho made this a major pillar in their campaign platform.

Students who pre-ordered will be receive a lunch ticket tomorrow during Team Time.  They will need the ticket to go to the amphitheatre and will be able to eat outside tomorrow.  They will not be allowed to take the CFA back to the cafeteria.

Incredible Generosity to Support CFA Day!
The incredible generosity of two families has made it possible for us to randomly select students to receive Chick-fil-A for lunch on Monday.  We are so grateful!  Students who were selected will receive a lunch ticket on Monday during Team Time.  If you do not want your child to participate should they be the recipient of one of these lunch tickets, please communicate that to your child.  Any student who receives a lunch ticket who wishes not to use it may return it to the main office so that it may be redistributed to another student.
