NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Locker Clean Out
Each cluster has identified a day for locker cleanout. Once your child has cleaned out their locker, backpacks should remain at home. Students may use their locker to store only their cell phone after that time. Cell phones should not be carried on their person during the school day.
8th Grade Activities - FAQ
What should my 8th grader wear to the dance and party? Event coordinators defined the dress as "snappy casual". Guidelines were provided with the 8th grade activities packet that defines the items that are excluded. Another copy was sent by email last week, or you may pick up a copy in the Main Office.
What does my 8th grader wear to school on Thursday? 8th graders should wear their promotion ceremony clothes to school on Thursday.
What does my child do during the Yearbook Signing Party if we didn't purchase a yearbook? The PTO will provide a packet that students may use for autographs.
Can we still buy a yearbook? Yearbooks are on sale until they are gone. You may send $50 cash (no checks) to A109.
How long will the ceremony last? The ceremony includes speeches by students and presentation of awards and accomplishments. After the speeches, students are called alphabetically by last name. We expect the ceremony to last less than 2 hours, however families are often delayed after the ceremony with traffic leaving the event.
What will my 8th grader do with his or her yearbook on Thursday during the Promotion Ceremony? All students will be provided a large white envelope. They will place their yearbook and cell phone in that envelope when boarding the bus, teachers will hold them and they will be returned after the ceremony.
